The Fluminense Federal University is a higher education public institution located in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro. It is a global center for research and teaching, consistently ranked among the 17 best universities in Brazil (RUF 2019). Since 1960, the university has been active in teaching, research and extension with academic excellence. Among our postgraduate programs, we highlight PPGEET (Stricto Sensu in Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering – Master and Doctorate) and PPGIO (Stricto Sensu in Instrumentation and Applied Optics – Doctorate), respectively created in 2004 and 2010.
